The Millennium Leaders (ML50) is a new endeavor, launched in 2011 by the G50, featuring outstanding Latin American entrepreneurs under 40 years of age. These business leaders embody the progressive, innovative and forward-thinking spirit that represent the future of the Americas.
Purpose
To promote dialogue between young and emerging members of the Latin American business community, with the belief that enriched conversations and shared experiences can enable positive social change for the region.
Objective
To build a network of rising and increasingly influential business leaders in Latin America that will meet in a private forum on an annual basis to discuss topics of common interest toward this purpose. Toward this goal, ML50 members benefit from a combination of small group interactions and round-table discussions for direct access to the G50′s wider network of experienced executives.
Millennium Leaders are:
- Outstanding Latin American professionals between the ages of 26 and 40.
- Responsible for the full operation of a company or division.
- Have a minimum of 2-6 years of senior-level management experience and proven leadership in the face of complexity and change.
- Pioneers in the application of innovative technology, and/or sustainable business practices.
- Will be nominated based on these qualities, as well as their independent thinking, entrepreneurial spirit and personal integrity.
Beginning with 15 founding members in 2011, the ML50 will continue to grow carefully and gradually. Each member is hand-selected for their individual merit and recommendations received from members. Additionally, each ML50 member is nominated to the group for a membership term of three years and will be eligible for selection to join the G50 permanently at the conclusion of this term, contingent on Board approval.
Besides contributing a nominal fee in annual dues, the only membership requirement is to remain in good standing and attend the annual ML50 forum at least once every two years.
