    The G-50 is composed of a select group of business who leaders who the most successful and modern enterprises in Latin America.  It is a non-profit, apolitical initiative, sponsored by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the Inter-American Dialogue. Convening since 1994, the Group has become one of the most prestigious forums of its kind. Ideas and experiences are exchanged as well as responses to the political, economic, and social trends affecting the world and Latin America.  In a setting that breaks the standard conference mold, meeting participants engage in highly dynamic exchanges with internationally renowned business, government, scientific and academic leaders.  

     

    Responsibilities:

    Overall involvement in the coordination of the Group of Fifty’s XV Annual Meeting. Duties pertaining to conference organization include the preparation of outreach materials and programs (in Spanish and English.) In addition to arranging logistics with facilities and caterers. Interns also work closely with the Executive Director in the drafting of formal documents for speaker and new member recruitment as well as other administrative tasks.

     

    Requirements:

    The ideal candidate is fluent in Spanish and English (Portuguese a plus), has a strong interest in Latin America, is familiar with formal letter writing, possesses strong initiative, creativity and problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure and strong computer skills. Attention to detail is essential. Events management experience and experience living and/or working in Latin America is a plus. Scheduling is flexible.
